Kathryne Gerard, M.S., CCC-SLP

Owner/Speech-Language Pathologist/Literacy Interventionist

Graduating with her masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from UL Lafayette in 2017, Kathryne has clinical experience in all settings for adults and children. She has introductory training in Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTS) and completed a 60.5-hour course in Executive Function therapy. Kathryne specializes in and is certified in Literacy Intervention. Kathryne is married to her high-school sweetheart, Dylan. They have two boys, Greyson and Baylen.

Graduating in 2017, Aimee has been a board certified Occupational Therapist since and has experience working with pediatrics in the areas of handwriting intervention, play-based intervention and primitive reflexes. She is certified in Sensory Integration therapy. Aimee is a Louisiana Pathways Trainer III and has presented her “Regulation and Arousal” course to local staff. She is married to her college sweetheart, Marcus. They have a two girls, Celia and Halle.

Serving children has always been close to my heart, and I’m grateful to combine my faith and passion through Occupational Therapy each day.”

Aimee Lopez, MOT, LOTR

Earning her masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from Louisiana State University in 2023, Avery immediately starting working at Speak and The Sensory Experience and completed her clinical fellowship to become board certified. She has experience with many pediatric disorders and has introductory training in Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTS). Avery completed a 60.5-hour Executive Function therapy course.

Avery Breaux, M.A., CCC-SLP

Earning her masters degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2021 from UL Lafayette, Lexie is a board certified Speech Pathologist and has clinical experience working in an outpatient pediatric hospital setting, early intervention, and pediatric private practice. Lexie has introductory training in the DIR floor time method. She is married to her husband, Tony and together have a little girl, Sunday.

“The greatest joy of being a pediatric Speech Therapist is the little glimmer in a child’s eye when they recognize that they have learned something new. I consistently long for more and more of these moments as I help a child reach their goals. The connection with my clients is the foundation of how I approach therapy and I am most proud when I see my kiddos’ confidence grow during our time together. When a child knows that their therapist believes in them and that they CAN do it, I think it makes all the difference.”

Lexie Pascual, M.S., CCC-SLP

Graduating from UL Lafayette in 2022 with a bachelors in Kinesiology, Amber went on to gain her doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Baylor University. She has since become a certified Neuro Specialist and has experience with pediatrics and adults. Amber is currently engaged to her fiancé Cody.

“I have a passion for helping kiddos grow to their fullest, most independent selves! From the little things like writing their name, to being able to dress or feed themselves, I am here for all you and your kiddo’s needs. I thrive on building a genuine connection and relationship with my clients to help at every stage of life and through every challenge. It is an honor to be a part of Speak and to have the chance to help little hands do big things!

Amber Lupo, OTR/L, CNS

Receiving her masters degree from Lamar University in 2021, Elle completed a student-led research project and presented the findings at the American Speech and Hearing Association’s national conference in New Orleans in 2022. In Fall 2023 she began working on her Doctorate in Applied Language and Speech Sciences at UL Lafayette. She is trained in Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTS) and Lee Silverman Voice Treatment - LOUD (LSVT LOUD).
